One of the truest things Bill Walton has ever said was when he said UCLA playing basketball against Liberty in 2018 the worst day in UCLA athletics history.
This article inspired me to write an email to my alma mater, Ball State's, AD and head of football ops urging them to reconsider playing Liberty in the future. Thank you for writing this Jason
Jason, this was a phenomenal read. Thank you for writing this. I especially enjoyed the comments (dear lord 2020 what a bizarre year you are) in which everyone from self-proclaimed "bible thumpers" to Notre Dame fans became enraged. Keep up the great work.
The Author states Notre Dame’s Football team was ‘nothing special’ before 1913. Seriously WRONG! ND’s 1908 Team lost 1 game to Michigan holding Wolverines without a touchdown and Michigan calling the game over in the 3rd Quarter. We get our Victory March from that Ferry Field Loss.
1909 we win the Western Conference humiliating Michigan without them scoring a TD. We get our ‘Fighting Irish’ from Yost and EA Batchelor who wrote for the Detroit papers.
The captain of that 1909 team, Howard ‘Cap’ Edwards was in fact the line coach and helped keep Rockne at ND when he quit ND in 1912 over his fathers death in Chicago.
Cap had the moxie to set up the Texas game in Austin where Fr Edward Sorin founded St Edwards College. His Michigan nemesis(and 1909 Wolverine Captain) was David Allerdice, who was the Texas coach.
Harper would never have another undefeated year. Edwards would go on to the Canton then Cleveland Bulldogs in the NFL.
Edwards Iron Works Of South Bend delivered the steel from Cleveland at cost for his former player’s ND Stadium.
Be careful about passing judgement on the past-those Irish (and non-Irish) ghosts of Notre Dame can be viscous about the past to the unthinking and unknowing
Sure, but NCAA records don't even consider Notre Dame a major-level team at the time, based on the opponents it was scheduling. Beating Michigan for the first time in nine tries was a very nice start, but it wasn't until the barnstorming that Notre Dame really became something
By your standards quit playing them in all sports I guess, on the other hand libertys chancellor called out the Virginia governor for having a checker past as a racist and white liberals try to flip it and make him out to be the racist. You can't make this stuff up :)
Blah blah blah..could care less about liberty. All you Christians are dumb. How can you have an education and still believe in your stupid fairytales. Nothing divides people more than you lot. And please dont say you'll pray for me your hot air will just increase global warming.

Ball State, first in glass jars, first in enormous space telescopes

Way to jump full fledge in that cancel culture. You're such an inspiration.... You know nothing of Liberty.
Canceling something as shitty as Liberty would be, like, BARELY fledged lol

Just your opinion.
Nothing more.
Just stumbled onto this comment. "NCAA records" are "just my opinion" lol
Liberty called out their states racist governor for picture he posed for in college? How do you deal with this at UNC? https://www.dailytarheel.com/article/2019/09/unc-slave-wealth
I'm sure there are all sorts of ways we can deal with this at UNC. What do you recommend
