First, the local business:
Hell Is a World Without You has sold thousands of copies in its first week and a half, many of them pay-what-you-want hardcovers. That’s [an algebra-failer continues crunching numbers] quite a bit of money already set aside for the Trevor Project. This #niche book has also sold out a 500-person venue for its February launch party in Atlanta, thanks to a #niche podcast.
In addition to everywhere else, it’s newly available at Google Play and Apple Books, and reader reviews are trickling in on Goodreads and elsewhere.
Three fun podcasts: I talked to Fun Sexy Bible Time about college football quotes that sound like megapastor quotes (and the book’s inspirations) and Charles Star and L. Ron Mexico about the Falcons-Saints rivalry. Also, Emily and I talked about everything behind the scenes (of the book).
And now, sports.
Most of this will be fun, because almost all of it was either fairly arranged (actual playoffs) or is honest about being bullshit (bowl games):
Jason, I did figure out that Alabama does in fact have a transitive loss to NMSU.
New Mexico State beat Auburn
Auburn beat Arkansas
Arkansas beat FIU
FIU beat UCONN
UCONN beat Rice
Rice beat Houston
Houston beat WVU
WVU beat Texas Tech
Texas Tech beat Kansas
Kansas beat OU
OU beat Texas
Texas beat Alabama
