I took a fair amount of guff for stating that I felt a Quaker sense of the spirit in a circle pit at a metal festival one time, where there was nothing but euphoria & other folks (metal-head bros, for the most part, but a fairly representative sampling of society) helping each other up and ensuring that everyone involved was safe & having a good time. If God is at the LSU tailgate, God is also in the pit.

"We’re tempted to view 2024 as college football’s first-ever season of drastic change, but its history is part of the same arms race as everything else: a willfully naive spirit that refuses to give up on kids from nowhere vs. a caste system that wants to consolidate half the galaxy for Fox Sports’ shareholders. We will always have poverty to contend against, said Jesus, and that’s because we will always have greed."

Damn son, you got all of that one.

Godfrey said on the Single Wing that there’s no story you can’t turn into a College Football Story. God’s true Nature is no exception

I came for the CFB. I'm hooked by the brief and interesting and informative history of the bible and Israelite religion that eventually became Judaism.

I love that the watch grid doesn't change! Perfection in its simplicity, and such beautiful simplicity.

I copy and paste it to paper every week, and set it by the remote, to know where to watch the games. Surely I'm not the only old fogey out there doing that. Congrats on your success.

God's Not Perfect.

(Whatever "God" is.)

It might be the greatest heresy of all -- in a number of faith traditions! -- but it's kind of staring us in the face throughout scripture, ain't it?

AIN'T IT?

Do you live in Youngstown, PA?

Almost no one lives in Youngstown, PA. I think he meant the one in Ohio. Either that or a town with 300 residents just got their biggest call out ever.

I fixed that one after sending. Newsletter editor doesn't know how to edit his own newsletter!!

Georgia State has the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever. Sadly they won’t because it’s Georgia State.
